What’s The Deal With Breast Augmentation?
Breast augmentation is one of the most common plastic surgery procedures, which can be done on women of most ages. The science of breast augmentation has had vast advancements, since its inception in the early 1980’s. Currently, I can offer my patients 2 different types of implants. Either state of the art gel implants which are extremely natural and hard to detect or saline implants which are especially safe in the case of a leak, since salt water is the same composition as blood.
Breast augmentation is usually done in a certified operating room, so that the standards and procedures are of the highest level of safety and quality. This procedure takes up to an hour and half to complete, and is done on an outpatient basis. The selection of the size and shape of the implant is critical to achieving natural results. A pre-surgical consultation with your surgeon is imperative to review the surgical plan and expected outcome. Following the procedure, patients will need yearly follow-ups which I provide our valued clients at no additional charge. There can be complications with this procedure (infection, bleeding), but this is a very rare occurrence and can easily be avoided with proper surgical techniques.
