Forehead lift

The forehead lift is performed to smooth the wrinkles along the forehead and to raise the eyebrow line for a refreshed, youthful-looking appearance. Forehead Lift Surgery Candidates

Over time, the skin on the forehead and between the eyes loses its elasticity and begins to wrinkle and furrow. The eyelids also begin to droop and sag. The brow lift procedure is performed to rejuvenate the entire region above the eyes, including the forehead, brow line, and upper eyelids. Men and women in their 40s and 50s are ideal candidates for this procedure because their skin is still supple enough for treatment to be highly effective.

The Forehead Lift Procedure

Dr. Sutkin begins the forehead lift procedure by making an incision across the top of the forehead, within the hairline. From this incision, Dr. Sutkin will remove the muscle tissue and excess skin that are causing the skin to wrinkle and droop. The muscles are tightened and the remaining skin is drawn taut to create a smooth, youthful-looking brow. The eyebrows are elevated so that the patient no longer appears tired or angry-looking. Incisions are then sutured close and the procedure is complete. Most patients can return to their normal activities after eyelid surgery once they have rested for about a week.
